E.L.F makeup haul review

Recently I was fortunate enough to get a blind box of E.L.F products for review. This particular box came with ten products, randomly chosen. The cost was $10 for ten items. A steal, even in the context of elf affordability. I have tested each and will provide my input on the quality and useability.

First product is this lip stain and gloss duo. In the shade birthday suit, it’s a ballet slipper pink with a clear gloss top coat. I find the pigment to be mediocre. It’s a lovely pink but not really a stain per se. It doesn’t have the staying power of a true stain. The gloss is quite nice.

Next up is a dual ended eyeliner and shadow stick. The liner end is in the shade pearl. And just as the name suggests, it’s a pearly white. It’s very pigmented and has great staying power. The opposite end is a shadow in the shade glow, which is an offwhite peachish shade. I love it. It goes on nice and smooth and lasts all day.

Next up is a waterproof eyeliner pen in black. This one I found interesting. It’s a liquid with a triple tip applicator. I’m not at all good with liquid liner. The saturation of this product is wonderful but this tip made it difficult for me to apply evenly. I just do not possess this talent, sadly.

Ok, my next item is a shimmer lip gloss. The shade of this beauty is Inspire. Another pink shade, only slightly darker but very pink. It works wonders on top of the above mentioned lip stain. The compatible color compliments it well while providing a shine. Slightly sticky and certainly a gloss as evidenced by it’s short wear time. Quite nice though.

One product I received that I would never have purchased in my own is the high definition blush. The shade is highliner. It’s a liquid blush in a pump. It’s a very bright baby punk color and super pigmented. One small pump was enough for both cheeks. Its got great wear time too. Mine lasted all day plus some. I’m very impressed but do need to play abit more with it. Application takes some practice.

Up next is this healthy glow bronzed in Sun kissed. I’m fair skinned and this is the perfect shade for me. It’s a lighter bronzed with a subtle shimmer. Works extremely well for me.

I also received a tone correcting concealer in light beige. It’s a doe foot applicator and a light coverage. It blends well with my skin tone and conceals but not a full coverage. Decent.

Next is a glitter eyeshadow in the shade cowgirl. As the name suggests, it’s a shimmery shadow in a color that is a taupe brown. It’s super soft and velvety. Super buildable and a nice neutral.

I received an eyeshadow quad named punk funk. Four great shades…a white highlight, a bright pink, a purple and blue. Nice colors but require quite a bit of product for good coverage. Nice colors though but I will most likely never use the blue.

I also got a 2in 1 conditioning gloss. Now initially it looks like you average squeeze tube gloss. This one is different. It’s actually a dual tube with the inner tube containing a glittery berry pink called va va voom and outer layer of a clear conditioning gloss. When you squeeze both extruded through the applicator. Very sticky and mineral smelling. I’m not sure how I feel yet. Not my favorite.

Finally we are on the last one. This is a glitter nail polish. The shade is blushing bombshell. It contains multiple sizes of an orange glitter. It is ok. I wouldn’t buy this again. It’s not the easiest to apply. In fact every time I would brush it would pick the glitter back up off the bail. Not easy to use and doesn’t last very well. Mine stayed only two days even with a top coat. Not their best product.

All in all, well worth my $10. I love E.L.F and will continue to use their products. You can’t beat the price now matter how you slice it!!!
In the below picture I am wearing the blush, shadows, concealer and liner.
